2)Some Russian religious fundie group was actually trying to sue the US govt over the sale of Alaska claiming the US paid Russia with a cheque, not the gold coin specified in the agreement of sale.
There was no such thing as Russia when the Aleuts arrived so that claim is bunk water.
Russians lying!? Say it ain't so!
Want to bet every vote for the petition was a Russian citizen using proxies in the US?

I would like to see face of Alaska man, when he receives middle Russian payment 400$ for the month of work
So was it Mexican proxies that did the same in Texas?
Non-Sequitr
This is just people misusing the law to stick it to the govt or Obama or whatever.
I wouldn't put it past the Russians that it's an organized campaign just to fling shit at the US using their own rules against them. Wouldn't be the first, won't be the last.

That's because he was told he would be paid 14 000, not knowing they mean roubles, not dollars
They're just desperate to get away from Sarah Palin.
Imagine her reaction if she were to suddenly find herself a citizen of the Russian Federation, that may be enough to deter Mr Putin if he were to pursue this.
