CBS staffer indicted in alleged Letterman extortion plot

While his sexual conduct was wrong I get Dave a lot of credit for going public on this.

What I don't get is why didn't the guy just write the book? He could possibly have made the 2 mill legitimately.

It sounds pretty bad for the guy the way Letterman presents the case, but what if the guy had said to Letterman I plan to write a book, and I'm notifying you what's going to be in it to give you an opportunity to give your side of the story. What if Letterman then said, I'll give you 2 mill not to write it.

The guy did plead not guilty. I have a suspicion we haven't heard all the details of this story yet.

Dave's a slime ball, its amazing how he's able to make himself appear the victim. I agree the black mail part is wrong, but he's married has a child and has been banging the staff. The victims here are his wife, kid and maybe some of the women this bucktooth heathen made advances on.

News that an old talk show host having sex with employees isn't worth $2 Mil.. but this publicity is.
I doubt he could pay someone enough to take a legal hit but I want to see what happens with the charges.
