Newly-released court documents reveal the sheer scale of the alleged Toronto-area terror plot in 2006, including transcripts of the accused allegedly hoping their attacks would far exceed the London subway bombings a year earlier

    The documents include another wiretap transcript of a suspect allegedly detailing a plan to attack politicians on Parliament Hill, during which both Harper and former prime minister Paul Martin are mentioned.
    "What happens, what happens at the Parliament?" one person is heard asking.
    "We go and kill everybody," another says.
    "And then what?"
    "And then read about it � We get victory."
    "And take, uh, Paul, um, what's his name ____. Paul loser."
    "Paul Martin."
    "Yeah."
    "Nah, I wish he had won, guy."
    "What you, what you talking about?"
    "Now it's the other guy, Harper."

    Exactly. We all know our court system is too nice for its own good, and seeing these guys get anything lesser than life will be a disgrace.

    ridenrain you amaze me.. everyone is a fucking liberal.. these guys are just boys.. try them in kiddie court and send them back to school.. Al kaida school for terrorists... they will probably get off and will be allowed to send for the extended family as soon as Diane gets the immigration details worked out...

    I think it's important to make an example of these idiots by throwing the legal book at them. Whether or not these guys were serious criminals is irrelevent as history has shown that it doens't take a great deal of intellect or organization to be an effective terrorist. Even clowns like these guys can be dangerous.

    While it can be argued that these twits had little or no chance to be successful----the same could be said of the 911 terrorists, if they had been interdicted prior.....no end of self appointed experts would have come forth to protest that the possibility of success was preposterous---high-jacking airliners with box-cutters---come on!

    The denizens of our prisons will subject these guys to due process.......

    It'll be interesting to see what constitutional challenges the bomb-plotters make. I imagine a Garafoli challenge will be a natural, but they'll be pressed to say upon what grounds they'll base it.

    Here's an interesting note though; for such tough little shits, they sure do want to hide from what they so rigourously planned, don't they? Doesn't it seem hypocritical? All this supposed glory they were going to achieve and now they're running like scared little bitches from it.

    Fuck 'em. Life in prison is appropriate.
