Being just one of the obviously numerous "ignorant Albertans" myself, I must say that I've been quite satisfied with the Conservatives, and I'm not sure why other people aren't... Obviously there are always going to be problems in society, but not all of them can be blamed on government figures who ... |

Ralph Klein is not attempting to kill health care, he's attempting to try new methods to improve it... Shame on him for having ideas, I suppose. In the same way, eveybody thinks that Harper's such an idiot because he suggested that Canada follow the Belgian model... I don't personally support such a... |

I haven't seen much for Canadian movies lately (or at all, for a lack of them), but I think we're doing quite well for television. Corner Gas is by far the best caricature of people from the prairies that I've ever seen. <img align=absmiddle src='images/smilies/lol.gif' alt='Laughing Out Loud'>... |

We have a lot of Newfoundlanders around here (jokingly, Fort McMurray is said to be the capital of Newfoundland), and they've definitely got the most different accent of all anglo Canadians... Sometimes when they're talking, I can't understand a word they're saying. <img align=absmiddle src='imag... |

Well, I consider myself an anglo Canadian, but I certianly don't speak like that. In fact, the only difference that I can notice between my own and mainstream American is the drwing up of the middle of the tongue for the long /e/, which makes for a higher sound than is found in America. If you've se... |
