It is pretty hard to have our own identity when what little culture Canada does present to the world is quickly swallowed up by overpowering American interests. As for Bush being a bigger man, yeah. I can't even respond to such an ignorant statement. Take a look around at the reality of the Bush reg... |

We would all be speaking Russian if not for Mr. Reagan.
The idea that Reagan single handedly brought about the fall of the soviet empire is what is absurd! Of course his rampant military spending and the resulting arms race of the cold war period certainly helped... |

The fact that a large majority (yes majority) of Canadian manufacturing businesses (and a huge number of other sectors) are owned by firms from the US is a serious part of the reason for not trying to expand to other markets around the world. Perhaps it is these very business who artificially keep C... |

Canada did not fight for it's independence as the U.S did for many reasons. Numbers in population being one of them, the 13 colonies had a total population of roughly 2.5 million whereas in the colonies north of the 49th parallel numbers were around 374,000. It would have been impossible to fund an ... |

NAFTA absolutely must be scrapped and replaced with a deal which is less intrusive into Canadian sovereignty. Trade with other nations is extremely important as well, but the US as much as we may dislike to admit will always be our largest trading partner. At least until Canada stops relying so heav... |

Absolutely! A completely independent energy grid is very important at this time. Of course until NAFTA is scrapped we will still have to send a vast amount of energy southwards... |

No one will ever really know if the CIA was key in planning the attack on the WTC. Just because they tell us something completely different does not mean all other possibilities are null. The main body of this article only reinforces the realities of American foreign policy, it is well known (and ev... |

Perhaps the current method of growing as much cattle as possible is not such a good idea after all. I think it is time to go back to serving smaller localised markets. Crowding many animals together is just asking for trouble. It's the same with avian flu, and foot and mouth. Vegetarians unite!! ;) |

I like to think of Fox News as the mouth of Sauron, (for those of you who know Tolkien). Constantly spewing forth outrageous and multifaceted lies and drivel. Looking forward to the day it blares into living rooms across the country, just so I can casually skip over it, or even better program it out... |

If harper and his right wing fanatics form a majority, I say revolution! Or maybe coup! And we can use Vive le Canada as a slogan. We could probably have "the hill" in less than an hour. |
