I lived in Moscow, Russia for 2 years. Met my Russian wife there. Married there. Lived with her and we decided to get her Permanent Residence in Canada not only because it's my homeland but also because our future children can have more opportunities in life than if I immigrated to Russia. We've had...

I don't feel comfortable when I see these people walking around with their knives in Toronto. I don't even feel comfortable with the costumes many immigrants from Sikh, Hindu and Muslim cultures wear. Turbans in the police force? Women dressed as if they were in Tehran? This is Canada, people! Why d...

Don't you all wish it was a real 'showdown'? Harper coming out of the bar, his spurs ringing. Iggy in the middle of main street, sixguns on his hip. Layton takes out Duceppe on a rooftop, because he was going to snipe a sheap shot at them both when they weren't looking and steal their wallets. Haha...

Wow, this article only stirs up even more contempt for the French seperatist idiots. So what if there wasn't "enough" French in the Vancouver Olympics? Have you noticed how English is the lingua franca of the modern world? If the Olympics are hosted in Japan, the ceremonies are held in Japanese and ...

Good! The media gives this a sad "what about the children" twist, but I knew someone who worked with the Canadian Teacher's Federation office in charge of this program. Basically, they had 10 "administrators" earning between $60,000 (for low-end) to $120,000 for the director. They took free expenses...

In my town outside Moscow, Russia I pay $18 a month and get unlimited internet access. It's high speed, cable internet, too, and it is super fast. This small town of about 70,000 people has 10 ISPs. Russia is also a big, sprawling country (a hell of a lot bigger than even Canada) with a lot of isola...

Wow. Shocking. Barbaric. F**king people! I hope charges are laid and the owner gets a lengthy holiday in prison. I think the employee who did the killing should get charged as well. If he had such a problem with it he could have reported it before he started shooting.

sorry need to highlight some fucked up things here: The US is the only country where juveniles are serving life imprisonment without parole under the so-called "life means life" policy. Only the US and Somalia have refused to ratify the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which rule...

Some great responses here. I'm living in Russia and was here last year when Chechens killed 41 people on the Moscow Metro and again a few days ago at Domodedovo Airport (although the jury is still out about who carried out the latest attack). Last year I was absolutely mortified. I take the Metro ev...

Haha, the original article mentioned many things that are horribly ignorant, but somehow this has turned into a four-page brawl about tipping practises! Here's another thing that peeved me off from the article: * Waiting at a crosswalk for the light to turn red, even when there's no cars coming. Wha...

Let's just do away with the Senate altogether. It's nothing more than a political entity for the ultra-rich good-ol' boys to feel they have some say in the running of the country. The House of Commons is where all the power is now anyways, so the Senate is an anachronistic dinosaur that really serve...
