Well they were probably along with others who were actually removing the other IED. But yes it does seem like a strange group to send out. On a CBC article it said they defused another IED and when they were returning to base, they hit another IED in their vehicle... http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2...

hmm...well..nothing can be certain until 2011 actually rolls around. Do i have a gut feeling that we're gonna be staying longer. But thats just my gut feeling. In 2011, if we leave, i dont think we'll 100% leave, i think we would still be menoring the National Afghan Army.

I would agree CF recruiting needs to be more pro active. I havent seen a recruiter come to my school in over 3 years...it's even hard for my army cadet unit to recruit because alot of schools are unbelievably anal about not having military recruiters of any kind. Look at the University of Victoria, ...

hmm... dont dont honestly think we can leave afghanistan in 2011. Currently, things in Afghanistan are a bit too hot (no pun intended) for the Canadian Forces to leave Afghanistan.
