The concept of the NAU has certainly been propelled by a number of think tanks over the past 30 years. SPP is only the most recent version of an old agenda. Thanks Streaker, The original version circulated around my office a few months ago and regardless of what side of the issue people were on they appreciated the distillation of the arguments to a simple choice. I like the refinements he's added, hopefully it will help more people recognize we need ac...

I lived in Saudi Arabia for 5 years in the midst of many Anti Western Wahabis and would agree completely that we'd be foolish to admit them to Canada. They would only bring a deeply rooted hatred of western society and an agenda of islamic fundamentalism. That said I also worked with many moderate m...

Thanks Trueblue. I can see its not going to take very long to get a sense of where people stand and who's interested in real debate. Debate? Hmmmm, let us take a look shall we? Eight posts. Average length of posts ~ 40 to 50 words. Total posts that could even be remotely considered as adding to a d...

Wouldn't it be in Bush's interest to keep Osama Bin Laden alive and in the public conciousness? After all it's Osama who has been used to demonize terrorists and justify increasing US military intervention.

Bhutto's admission that Osama is already dead makes effectively eliminates that.

Sorry to post something slanted. I always try to look at all sides of a story, regardless of slant.

Perhaps you could fill me in on the rules and qualifications for submission. Do I need to pass them through the CKA censorship board.

Maybe you should call this a whitewash not a forum.

Sorry I don't mean to leave you all hanging. I've been looking over as many "independent" news sources as I can to get the side of this story you don't get from popular media. As long as I'm doing so I thought I'd share the articles. The discussion in the forums of Canadian involvement in ...

This about says it "a report prepared earlier this year by a Canadian Senate standing committee makes a bold assertion about Canada's effect on life in Kandahar province - and one that suggests a simple solution: "Life is clearly more perilous because we are there,"

Richard Richard:
I guess this lady would rather be supressed or mudered by the Taliban. Her choice I guess.
She thinks it more likely she or others would be killed as collateral damage in the battle between occupying forces and thier idealogical enemys than to be killed by any other Afgan political faction.
