A flat-rate tax on gross income is impartial and fair. I am thinking of 5%....... Think of the ease that taxes can be computed! Think of the 100,000 or so CRA employees who will have to find "honest" work. Think of the corporations (as long as they are considered "people") paying...

At $36US (and from what I understand, the US is only paying Canada $20 for the oil that crosses the border), it really doesn't matter what the former government said or did (or didn't do). If Alberta can't compete in the marketplace the way the Saudis and Russians can, they may as well explore other...

[quote="IndividualistAnd frankly, I don't have to justify to you a government that still held the support of a still significant portion of the Canadian population in the last election, despite being defeated. quote] You mean the redneck vote? Or, if not redneck, then those who are fearful of l...

And speaking of "missing votes", the Harper government has evidently tapped into a rich vein of latent racism and prejudice, just before the 19th of October voting day: http://www.salon.com/2015/10/06/white_people_dont_have_to_worry_about_canadas_new_report_your_neighbor_hotline/ "Whi...

My company does a lot of overseas business. With port shutdowns, explosions, stock market crashes etc. The global economy has been struggling. Huge names file for bankruptcy daily. I am not a Harper fan but I don't think either candidates would have had the experience to do any better than Harper h...

The "opposition" parties do not want to rock the boat with actual allegations - afraid as they are of missing a vote here and there. Ms. May, knowing in her wisdom that she will not become the next PM, is free to call a spade a spade. One can only hope that, like Al Capone who never was co...
