It was Royal when I was a cadet. It wasn't a few years later. And NOTHING changed about honouring anyone who served then, before then or now. It's CANADA'S Air Force and Navy, not the Queens. This is a foolish move that pisses off Quebecers, non-Anglo new Canadians and nationalists like me. I resen... |

All your tax dollars. ROTFL In this day of electronic data it will only be a change of jpeg emblem on letterhead and a few decals. You don't seem much on tradition or history rather more about Harper being the devil. The thing is that I don't think even the electronic forms are gonna be affected th... |

Most Canadians don't give a rats ass about the gun registry and a significant number support it. Don't you mean an insignificant number? No, I mean significant. I suspect the registry has seen it's day, but a significant number of Canadians support it. Unless of course you discount anyone who does ... |

I watch the CTV Powerplay segment and Tom Clark looked like he just wanted to slug the prof he was interviewing. When confronted about his opposition to the program, the prof went on a rant about other matters including.... Imperialism Claims that not enough is being done for PTSD suffers Rick Hilli... |

Akhenaten Akhenaten: poquas poquas: This was certainly predictable.
Not nearly as predictable as the turn out apparently.
Only 250 showed up in Edmonton. Less than who showed up to protest Bush's speech last fall. |

I did read the article and its doesn't help your case one bit. You complain in other threads about the fact that getting off one's ass even 6 years ago would've made no damn difference. It still takes time to design and lay down the ship and the 2012 date was a realistic one. Your complain failed to... |

Yet it would've matter little since it would've been, under ideal circumstances, another 2 years before such a ship would've sailed. |

There was a poll done before the prorogue was made official in which there were hints that this would be a non-issue, but probable reactions to possibilities are different than actual reactions to realities. Two polls on this specific issue have shown majority opposition to the move, and a voting i... |

That's a difficult question to answer. The reason is that its 2009 so I have the advantage of retrospect. In retrospect, one Canadian life was too many, given the value of this mission in terms of its results. Here's a better question. Would you say he same things if all those had died on a UN Peac... |

An ad placed in Wednesday's Windsor Star newspaper is causing some controversy on Remembrance Day. The full-page ad, printed on the last page of the sports section, lists the names of the 133 Canadian soldiers who have died since 2002 while serving in Afghanistan. Titled "Lest We Forget,"... |
