High of 13 today. I will get one last ride in before I put the motorcycle away for the winter. With one thing and another it has been a low mileage year. Only about 15K instead of the usual 20K. As with everything else 'next year will be better'.

Also, none of the automakers are funding development of ICE's, and all of them are planning on fully EV models. This is a government mandated target that is pushing a single solution in a relatively short time frame. As you pointed out there are multiple choices. Perhaps a better option is to manda...

Lexus gives us a peek at its all-battery future with two new concepts Welcome to 2026 and the future of Lexus as an all-electric brand. Toyota's stance is that all electric is not in the best interest of the planet. (Lexus is a division of Toyota aimed at the upper middle class) The limited supply ...

'Do not panic buy': Here's what India's rice ban means for Canada Big deal.(sarcasm) It is only about 6% of the rice imports. Maybe if you must have a certain brand of Indian rice it might seem like a problem, but we get lots of rice from other parts of the world. I prefer the Asian varieties so th...

This happened yesterday and is important information for those over 65. A friend had his 5th dose of the vaccine - the "booster" at a Pharmacy, after which he began to have blurred vision on the way home. When he did get home, he immediately called the pharmacy for advice about seeing a do...

It shows a lack of knowledge of Canada's political system when Daniel thinks Fox News should be her guideline. The emails from political staffers were not sent without some direction from a supervisor or a senior public figure such as the Premier or a Cabinet Minister. I cannot see a public inquiry ...

With our latitude standard time makes more sense the daylight as the year round choice. If we use daylight then in the middle of winter sunrise won't be until after 9 AM or 10 AM depending on how far north you live. Getting dark an hour earlier in summer is OK and makes it easier for those with litt...

Since Covid almost everywhere in the Rockies is jammed with vehicles. Pre Covid #541 from Longview into Kananaskis would have a few vehicles at some of the pullouts. The last two years at every pullout vehicles were lined up on the shoulder for a few 100 meters as the lots were full. The worse spots...

People are dying of COVID-19 in record numbers. Why don't we notice? There are 3 major points the article makes. 1. Statistics are not being reported by the media like they were in the beginning. Without the constant reminders people become complacent. 2. The major suffers in the developed world no...

So... I'm just curious. No judgment or assumptions at all intended. Do others on here still wear masks when in a public place, such as in grocery/other stores or on public transit etc? I do and I don't give a crap about what anyone thinks about it as it is my personal decision. I just went back to ...

If you are old enough you will remember that is how Tommy Douglas started the health care system we have today. Without the deal with the Liberals then we might have a US style health care now. When the NDP have the hammer to let the Liberals remain in power or send us back to the polls more social ...

The far right appear to be dominating the party. As others have said that is not a palatable platform for most Canadians. I would label myself as fiscally conservative and socially libertarian. Currently no party ticks the boxes for me. A small c party that leaned to the centre would catch enough bo...

I'd like to get everyone's thoughts on something I read recently in regards to the pandemic and vaccine, yadda yadda. A friend of mine on FB who is a nurse re-posted a statement from another nurse in which she said that, "once humans start using vaccines to form antibodies for a virus, they're...
