I think the govt better put a question to the Canadian people. Do we still want the monarchy, I keep flip flopping on this. We should look at other options, at least a Canadian head of state stays in Canada and is not a tourist.

It's not as if every Canadian is all that informed either. And in Germany I had a bartender tell me he wanted to visit Canada to see Kangaroos. Many Europeans don't differentiate much between Canadians and Americans, or at least didn't use to. The Brits can be incredibly self-absorbed - what's that...

But respect to America! We will keep watching and see how game is played from the safety of the sidelines eh!

I would add this whole sharing of an embassy has opened my eyes to how far the left will go to say we are losing our sovereignty over this deal. Makes me think what else I have been led astray on.

I would not mind a Commonwealth union, we would still remain Canadian within the supper state. I for one would just be glad to be able to hop on a flight from Canada to London without having to go through customs.

I agree Quebec had its best chance to leave Canada back in 95 I think. Plus now Quebec is so heavily burdened by debt. Overall I want a united Canada as I hope most Canadians do, it would suck to have to pass a border check point to visit Nova Scotia. Given that, perhaps it would be better to force ...

2015 Harper will be gone and the NDP will have their chance, most likely with a minority govt. All policy can be fixed or repealed, just a matter of pressure and political will.

I'm not here to gloat I am stating Canada needs more trades people than soldiers. Fact we are hiring more foreign workers in the oil sands than ever before, jobs that Canadians should be taking. I am not ripping on the armed forces my dads ex military. However, makes more sense to hire our own and s...

Perhaps in Newfoundland, but 25K a year is a joke. When I was a 3rd year electrical apprentice 3 years ago I was grossing 80K a year. We need more workers than soldiers who cost Canadians more money than make us money. If Harpers oil plans move forward we will need 700k workers to build even more p...

You can be earning over 100k in 4 years. Or, as normal people say, $25k per year . And if you're joining up for the money then you're definitely doing it for the wrong reasons. Perhaps in Newfoundland, but 25K a year is a joke. When I was a 3rd year electrical apprentice 3 years ago I was gr...
