At the World Cup of Hockey final last night, Walk Off the Earth learned that when you break out a ukulele and a melodica to perform O Canada, there will definitely be whinging.

People get their panties in a knot over the silliest of things, these days.

I'm friends with an Arizona hockey mom, she even sent me a note asking wtf was that.

Considering all the times I've heard almost unrecognizable renditions of the American anthem played before sporting events, I'm surprised that she's surprised.

The Walk Off the Earth version was actually pretty good, at least musically... and it was easy to sing along to... but the purists will hate.

I to was surprised that she was surprised. If it had happened below the 49th. she probably wouldn't have been as surprised as she was.

For a moment I thought it was a granola bar commercial, then I looked at the T.V. and realized it was the national anthem.

It was meh. I didn't like they changed the words, it was a bit too mellow, for the venue.

Personally, I thought their version of our anthem sucked but I have definitely heard much worse.

Not that big of a deal I guess but it is mildly annoying when someone or a group changes it too much.
