Majority oppose change to O Canada: Poll

Doesn't surprise me one bit. When have the will or wishes of the people ever matter to a politician like Trudeau the First, Mulroney, Chretien, Harper or Sunny Ways?

As for the rest of the herd. Politicians vote as their leaders tell them and the people who were stupid enough to elect them are to be considered nothing more than pawns to be used to achieve the necessary power to carry out their own parties and personal agenda's.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

It's a done deal, it's no big deal, so time to put this to bed. In a little while people will wonder what all the fuss is about.

Really if they wanted to change it, return the verbiage to the 1908 version, "True patriot love thou dost in us command."

But really all this changing shit for the sake of being progressive is getting a bit out of hand.

If its not broken, no need to 'fix' it.

If I find myself at an event where our anthem is being sung I will probably automatically sing "in all thy sons command" because this is the version I'm most familiar with.

Just like of they take "God" out and replace it with whatever doesn't offend or exclude anyone on the planet I'll probably still sing it for the same reason.

Some habits are hard to break.
