The upside of this particular scandal is that my wife has a friend who used to be all snotty about her fucking VW TDI as if she was saving the world with it and we were a bunch of troglodytes for driving a Volvo which, as it turns out, runs far cleaner than a TDI.
Except it's a Volvo and no self respecting man is proud of owning a Volvo.
I'll take the TDI any day!

It's a Volvo S80 and I've had it up to +130mph and Road & Track says with the upgraded ECM I installed it can make 175.
Plus it looks pretty spiffy.

Well, the other car in the garage is a 1965 Ford Galaxie with a 490 HiPo, Hooker headers, a 750 dual feed vacuum secondary Holley sitting on an Edelbrock intake with the high rise that *just* fits under the stock hood, the ignition is a Mallory Unilite with a 100,000 volt Blaster coil, all backed up by a C6 transmission with the stock overdrive.
It passes everything but a gas station!
