    ROTFL

Getting one of these things to sea consistently is pretty much akin to putting a man on the moon for the Canadian Navy.

I wonder if the timing of the two stories isn't a coincidence. Bad press about our subs...quick, get some positive headlines by giving some reporters an "inside look" with some dramatic re-enactments and drills, and brag about the boat's capabilities (that exist on paper).

Could be. The Navy has a whole cadre of spin doctors called Pubic Affairs Officers (usually washed out Mars Officers) who do nothing all day but tell the world how wonderful things are in Disneyland North. :P

Lets not get too smart ass, the Canadian Submarine fleet is still better than our NASA manned space program.
