For years, successive Australian governments diverted boatloads of refugees to camps on two remote islands, to hold them in indefinite detention. No information is allowed out but filmmaker Eva Orner found a way to document the devastating conditions.

I agree with the Australian policy. Sort them out before they set foot on Australian soil. But, you've got to treat them humanely. Not allowing journalists just shows they have something to hide.

From the interview last night, there are a lot of things to hide. It's sickening that people are forced to live like that. :(

It just undercuts the whole policy, and there will be pressure to bring them to Australia and set them loose. Govts can be so stupid. If they could ship them back, that would be fine, but since many seem to be there for the long run, make conditions tolerable. Especially if there are any kids involved.

Send them back whence they came and the camps can be closed.

You should know better. Oh, no wait, establish a beachhead in Indonesia and just dump them there, right? Any resistance and napalm the whole place.

Thank God you're not in the military anymore.

Where did he say that?

I don't actually expect an answer from you, but I'll enjoy watching you bob and weave around and in a few days pretend you never said it.

    You're outraging yourself again.
