The Montreal Canadiens acquired goaltender Ben Scrivens from the Edmonton Oilers on Monday in return for forward Zack Kassian.

it will be interesting how the Oiler players accept him since he tried to kill Sam.

Not to mention Kassian is a useless player whose career should have topped out in the AHL.

Therein lies the problem with the Oilers - they keep acquiring forwards when they really need defencemen.

I know you aren't going to get much for Scrivens when he's playing in the minors, but at least get a draft pick so you can maybe draft one next year.

Interesting that the Hab's would trade for a goaltender when they have Dustin Tokarski sitting in St.John's waiting to be called up. I hope I'm wrong but, my guess is that Scrivens is being brought in as insurance for when they have to announce Carey Price is done for the season with his second "lower body injury" in the last 2 years.
