Do as I say, not as I do.

Well, red and white are our national colours, not blue. They're the colours of our coat of arms and the colours of our flag. Diefenbaker even changed the green leaves on the coat of arms to red to reflect our national colours.

And the Liberals are the natural governing party of Canada, so they get a pass anyways.

The current Liberals get the same pass as Dief's Conservatives got...a pass for changing things to reflect our nation's official colours. But don't let common sense get in the way of your partisan outrage. :D

The official colours of Canada are Red and White, which is why the Liberals chose that as their party colour. Nothing wrong with Red and White, it's just one of the perks

Too bad so sad for Conservatives that blue is not an official colour of Canada. That's just the consequence you're going to have to live with.

really? are we arguing about what colours are on a website? I don't know what is more laughable, the fact that it was brought up or the fact that someone is offended by it.

Spending about to go through the roof.

Jobs being lost left and right.

BoC is talking about negative interest rates, while the US is going to drag
    bond rates up.

Housing bubble popping in Alberta, soon to be everywhere else.

Dollar at 73 cents, heading for 60.

And yet, this is the most important thing this government is doing.

    Colours of the websites.

    ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

We are gonna be sooooooo fucked.

Common sense doesn't dictate that the website for the throne speech includes headlines from the political campaign.

Further, common sense doesn't mean you criticize Harper for promoting measures not approved by Parliament and then do the exact same thing 2 months into office. That's hypocrisy.

So much so, the Liberals are going to change it.

So you would have been OK with Harper had he used political headlines in his throne speech website as long as it was written in red?

Point being, the very same Liberals accused Harper of doing the same thing and less than 2 months into office, they're doing it as well.

Harper didn't get a pass from the Liberals when the PM's plane was painted to reflect the RCAF.

I assume Trudeau will repaint the plane to the previous flat grey colour scheme.

I hope he paints it bright pink, make it look like a giant schlong just to piss off the homophobes. Guess that sounds partisan too though, doesn't it?

Well, OTI seems to have a point, that it's about more than color. The Libs are pols, same as all the others. They have a different style than the Harper cons, and different platforms, but in the end it all comes down to getting and maintaining power.

It's funny considering how much time and effort the Conservatives spent making everything blue in the first place, plus renaming the federal government "The Harper Government" and displaying large novelty cheques with CPC party logos at official government ceremonies.
