A bad cop is a bad cop is a bad cop even the ones masquerading as Marshalls.

Given that one of them had a history with the accused and this I'd say a murder charge might be forthcoming.

The coroner in Avoyelles parish says he was initially told by a crash scene investigator that city marshals were pursuing the driver because of an outstanding warrant, but Louisiana state police say they cannot find any warrant for Few, reports CBS News' David Begnaud

Update. Not that it's any consolation but CTV news said the two assholes have been arrested and charged with second degree murder base on what a body camera showed.

I don't see why this topic is classified under "strange" when there's an obvious pattern and reason. The fact that these two cops have a record of serious allegations and have to moonlight as local marshals and that the marshall service is run by a school bus driver with no qualifications is a explanation enough. Just another backwater red state town running its affairs on a shoestring tea party budget and hiring the cheapest least qualified people it can.

Three prominent Democrats are taking a shot at becoming Marksville's next mayor

Dr. Richard Michel, who has served seven of the past eight terms as the city's mayor, elected not to seek an eighth term.

His brother, Dan Michel, a retired former employee for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development, is running for mayor against Avoyelles Parish School Board member John Lemoine and District 5 Alderman Richard Tassin.

You are right, it should not have been filed under strange, it should
be placed under 'this is what happens when Democrats run things.' ROTFL

    You know what?

I like to think I'm big enough to admit when I'm wrong and I am.

I thought the idea of a school bus driver running the marshal service and terrorizing a town was strange.

But now that I realize Democrats were in charge I must admit Martin is right and I was wrong. That's not strange at all.

Well I'll give you A for effort, this time you actually tried looking something up, which is an improvement but of course you're still too ignorant to understand.

Louisiana is a Republican state. Republican poster boy Bobby Jindal is the governor. Republicans control the state legislature. The state controls funding to services such as law enforcement and courts, including court services such as the Marshalls? in addition to establishing and overseeing things such as law enforcement standards, especially for small communities. It's a red state and local municipalities just live in the world created around them. Also southern state democrats are often just as conservative as Republicans.

Louisiana is neither Republican or Democrat. It's a swing state or as it is said these days a 'purple' state.

New Orleans and Baton Rouge are traditional Democrat strongholds that have historically dominated state politics but in the aftermath of Katrina the majority of New Orleans' low income blacks decamped for other states and that was sufficient to throw both the city and the state into the Republican camp if only narrowly. If these people return to New Orleans the political balance in Louisiana will predictably move back to the left.

In fact on our side of the media we hear Democratic mismanagement was more responsible than the MSM explanation of 'Blame Bush!' can excuse for the specific screw-ups that allowed the catastrophic failures during Hurricane Katrina. Don't we? Ray Nagin and all that.

Of course it was. Bush is holy and all the crap that happened while we he was president was the cause of liberals and traitors.

Actually the way our guys tell it, it's more like Nagin was rot and evil, than Bush was saintly.

But here's the fact we can both agree on. A Democrat was mayor.

Nagin is currently doing ten years in Federal stir due to his sterling behavior.
