Two Muslim inmates have filed complaints with the Canadian Human Rights Commission over their treatment at Grande Cache Institution, a federal prison in northwestern Alberta.
Kicked them out for Catholic Band practice? Shouldn't complain I can imagine how bad they sound. Just lucky they don't let the Protestant Bagpipes practice in the next room DURING the prayers...

They lost their right to complain when they committed their crimes so, now they should suck it up and act like adults or be sent back to their cells with no supper.
Fucking ingrates. We give them a new country complete with free room and board and they think we still owe them something.
Also I didn't see where it said these people were immigrants. You just assume non-whites are immigrants but that's a very false assumption.
Another note for NF, the crimes they wrote convicted of don't seem yo have anything to do with Islam. One inmates crime appears to have been due to a business dispute and also includes a non-Muslim co-accused and the other's crime seems to be street gang related.

You're absolutely correct but exactly what those rights are is subject to interpretation and bullshitting the media and gullible people isn't one of them.
Karim has been pulling this crap since remand and if you look hard enough it's becoming a pattern. So until the murdering scum can actually prove any of his allegations I'll believe the guy he refused to call, Father.
Earlier this month, Karim made allegations that he was abused verbally, physically and sexually by remand guards. He claimed the alleged abuses were racially and religiously motivated.
But Karim continued to interrupt the hearing with his complaints of mistreatment.
"I was groped and fondled and molested," he said. "I was threatened to be killed."
Karim, who made similar complaints to Hughes during the course of his trial, said he has unsuccessfully tried through proper means to have his concerns addressed.
"I've been trying peacefully, politely, diplomatically in this country ... to gain justice," he said. "I want it on the record that I will defend myself.
"I'm tired of being abused and assaulted in a country where it criticizes other countries for less."
Karim faces an automatic life sentence, but Hughes must still determine his period of parole ineligibility between 10 and 25 years.
"Is my punishment life in jail, or life in jail with torture? If that's the case, send me to an Iranian jail."
Hughes said she will ask the head of courthouse security to listen to the tape of Karim's complaints to determine if further action is warranted.
Defence lawyers Adriano Iovinelli and Shamsher Kothari said they will also ask for a review of any video available of Karim's detention.
A claim made in 2013 with no provable evidence and wondrously in 2 years no one has been charged. So, I guess the whole prison and justice systems are plotting against this poor misguided, devout, adherent of Islam.
BTW if he's such a devout Muslim why did he commit murder over money or is that practice acceptable under Islam? Oh right, he like thousands of other inmates working the system just found God in prison
I'm not attempting to judge the validity of his accusations or his religious devotion.
I'm simply saying in response to your earlier post that he still has rights in prison that should protect against mistreatment and provide freedom to practice his religion.
As if only Muslim inmates make all sorts of claims of mistreatment. What else do they have to do in prison except think up these complaints? The aboriginals at one time didn't get their religious practices respected, they complained and now they do. Wiccans I think had a go round about this. But because this case involves Muslims, it deserves to be well and truly foamed over on CKA.

And why? they didn't give a shit about their victims rights such as right to life. No you take away somebody's rights you should forfeit your own but for basic rights. Food, water, shelter and a name. Same rights that a newborn baby is entitled to.

Thankfully most of Canada has evolved beyond this viewpoint. And what sort of person comes out of prison when they've been treated like that?
CBC stuff should be read from bottom to top.
Read correctly this article begins as follows:
"Karim is serving a life sentence for murder and Hovanesian is serving a 14-year sentence for kidnapping..."
OK, Muslim Brotherhood lady...
Now talk.
The CBC believes it's important we hear what you have to say.
One must remember this is a CBC article though.

As opposed to those non-Muslim inmates, who deserve rights because they didn't commit crimes?
