Justin Trudeau's promise to take 25,000 Syrian refugees this year 'problematic'

An announcement about Canada's new refugee plans could come as soon as next week, right after Justin Trudeau's cabinet is sworn in. But should the ambitious timeframe Liberals expressed during the campaign stretch out a bit?

I hope he does reconsider. Taking 25,000 is no problem, trying to take them all this year still is insane.

Let's just open the flood gates. We don't wanna be mean like Stevie was and actually check people before they come. Nobody would ever dare lie and abuse the system so just open the doors and let them move to downtown Toronto.

It's not just security checks, which should be done, but our ability to handle the influx all at once. This time of year is already when refugees are coming in, so all the services for them are very sparse.

Who cares about the influx. Justin got a mandate....bring them all in. People overwhelmingly supported his plan.

Start bringing them in, we don't need a broken promise already!

If Canada takes in 25,000 mostly Palestinian males then Scott Walker's wall between the US and Canada will become a reality under the next President no matter even if it's Bernie Sanders.

Keep in mind that the 'wall' doesn't have to be an actual wall but instead can be an effective wall of passports, border guards, drones, and electronic sensors.

So the 1,000,000 Muslims we already have are not a worry to y'all? Good to know.

The end is nigh for this world anyway. Let 'em all in. Bring the sad soap opera of Western delusion to a speedier end instead of dragging it out for longer.

If he's not going to fight the baddies in Syria, I'd hope he'd take in some more refugees.

Don't you already have all of that in place on our border?
