Sows are out with their cubs right now and food isn't overly plentiful. On saturday in the space of about 20 - 25 minutes, we came across five bears. Three 'adults', and one of them was a sow with two cubs. The sow and cubs buggered off pretty quick(cubs went up a tree), but the other two just sat on their asses and watched from about 15 ft. away.

I just read a story where a black bear stalked and hunted a camper. Normally they just avoid people.

RCMP are now investigating this and are considering treating it as a homicide. Where the hell were her parents and other family members, and why did they wait over three days before reporting her missing to police?? FFS

Teresa Robinson death: Homicide not ruled out, RCMP say

Homicide has not been ruled out as the cause of death of Teresa Casandra Robinson, the 11-year-old Manitoba First Nation girl who community members had believed was mauled by an animal.

Manitoba RCMP Chief Supt. Scott Kolody, who is in charge of criminal investigations, said an autopsy is being performed today that may "provide insight into the cause" of the child's death.
