By the way "The Family Dog" is not a pet he is a full member of the family, just like my dog.

My dog often comes before some 'family' members. The detachment commander here and I were talking after our dog was killed last fall. She said she'd feel less guilt over having to shoot a human being than a dog.

Nagra saw her doctor the following day, who marveled at the dog's apparent ability to recognize danger.

Time to get another doctor. There are diabetes alert dogs. Even I had heard of them.

It's fantastic isn't it, what dogs can be trained to do to assist people with various health issues.

This particular dog didn't even have any formal training yet recognized when his family member was in distress and responded. She is a very fortunate girl.

It really is. Have you seen the ones about dogs that appear to be able to sniff out cancer? It started with stories from people claiming their dogs could sniff out their cancers. Now, researchers are looking into it serious.

I remember years ago watching a show on Discovery Channel (I think on Dogs with Jobs or something similar) that had a feature on this very thing. The dog demonstrated this ability while they were taping the interview with her when she had a seizure.

Yes, I believe this could be true.
