Parents of young hockey players are questioning rules laid down by a Toronto league that prohibits coaches from touching team members in any way � not even a congratulatory pat on the helmet.

    I don't see the sense of the second sentence. Parents crippling their children so they are more effective beggars, or selling their girls into slavery is hardly more appealing.

    But the rule is stupid.

    The poor kids, crippled by their parents irrational fears, yet again. This is a generation of truly terrible parents.

    As a coach in the girls system, the rule is beyond sexist towards men.

    We have men who are policemen who aren't allowed in the dressing room but mom's with a police check are.
