Why is the prime minister so much chattier about his government's intentions when he's outside the country rather than in Parliament?

governments speak much more plainly with each other than their electorate. This isn't anything new...

The thing with the hawks is that it's never their kids in the military. If there are plans to put Canadian soldiers in harm's way, then they should stop playing silly bugger with Parliament. They owe that to the families of the soldiers.

Did the media have trouble understanding the words when he spoke to the UN? Typical dumbassed CBC leftwing BS story.

That title is going more than a bit far.

A statement of 'we will make a decision soon' is hardly indication of open dealings with the US and UN.

"I'll just say the government of Canada will make a decision on that very shortly.''

These hack anti government writers are on par with fan fiction writers in terms of skill and subtlety. Why do I give the CBC a cut of my taxes again?

we are so closely tied with the US, it would make sense that things are shared with them and NOT that crackpot organization known colloquially as the U.N

this isn't news, and it sure doesn't surprise nor frighten me.
