A Canadian woman and her Syrian husband are speaking out from a Damascus suburb because they're frightened and desperate to flee the escalating danger together. They're distraught because her government is doing nothing to help.

Dumb love struck ditz. Is he being treated less fair than others from that country> If not then stop feeling self-important and get in line like the rest.

Now to sound like jerk (last comment was nice) I bet when he gets here he dumps her like a cheap pair of shoes. Thanks for the PR status baby!

Why the fuck should the Gov't allocate resources for marriages of convenience, especially this one?

Maybe next time this guy will be smart enough to marry an American since their the waiting list is only 1 year long. Otherwise they're gonna have to suck it up and wait a couple of years before they can get this marriage annulled.

Any bets on how long it'll take for the Anointed one and that "deaf dumb and blind kid" to chastise the Conservatives for being mean to the poor innocent lovebirds?

Sass said she was travelling through the Middle East three years ago, on a break from post-secondary studies, when she met Habib Alibrahim, fell in love, and married him

So to take this "break", she decided to travel to an area that was heating up quite nicely, that was already pretty sketchy for travel to begin with and being a rather young, single woman when she left.
Considering the "intelligence" she displayed in her decision, I'm guessing her post-secondary studies involve a community college in some lucky town.

I do find the top picture of him kind of, I dunno, but I I've seen that dude somewhere before. It's really buggin' me.

It could just be a doppleganger though, I've got at least 2 of my own so far
