hum, another sexist law, what about the women who bully their men? I think there are enough laws on the books, we don't need something as silly as this..what about burden of proof?

just another he said vs. she said and the guy gets fucked over law.

The law would make the worst cases of non-violent controlling behaviour a jailable offence.

Although the new domestic abuse offence is mainly designed to protect wives and girlfriends from male partners who intimidate them, it will apply equally to men being targeted by women.

Theresa May, the Home Secretary, published proposals for a new offence of domestic abuse designed to criminalize men who bully, cause psychological harm or deny money to their partners.

Thinking of telling your wife she can't use your credit card, think again. 8)

Sure it will. If you believe that I have some shore line property on Titian to sell you.

Hey think this will cover honor killings, or would that be racist?

The UK looks to be in an race with Sweden to come up with the most insane laws and public policy.

He raises a valid point. Would moslems and Hindus who commit honor killings be charged under this law? They should be.

You're as stupid as he is. There are already laws against murder, why would they face charges under this law? talk about warped thinking.

    Why would they not?

For instance, 'hate crime' enhancements apply to murder cases, why not a bullying law like this one?

They already have laws against abuse.

"The consultation paper acknowledged that domestic abuse was already partly covered by stalking and harassment law"

So will honor killings get their own law? Sure it's targeted against Asians (UK term Indians and Pakistanis) but it would apply to anyone that conducted an honor killing.

They already have laws that would apply, but they want to make a new law to target men, sorry abusive people.
