Probably just a couple of stoners looking for his stash.

Trudeau was in Winnipeg before travelling to Montreal on Saturday for the city?s gay pride festivities. He told media his family was shaken by the break-in.

They travelled on Saturday to join him in Montreal because they were afraid to be at home on Saturday night, he added.

"While my family was sleeping somebody broke into our house while I was away in Winnipeg. Obviously we're extremely troubled by this," he said on Saturday.?

Does this mean we'll see Trudeau get behind Harper's tough on crime bill. To bad Chretien's wife wasn't over for the weekend, she could have bludgeoned the intruders to death with an Inuit carving. ROTFL

    "Harper did it"

After reading those comments it's pretty apparent that the people who faithfully post to the CBC all wear tinfoil hats and sit in their mom's basement hoping that the Conservatives don't find them and their stash of high quality Hallucinogens.

Maybe they figure it's 1972 all over again and Harper is really Richard Nixon and Peter McKay is actually John Ehrilichman. ROTFL

Damn those must be good drugs.

But, to be honest, with comments like that it's pretty apparent that the Sun Media whacko's have nothing on the CBC whacko's when it comes to paranoia. 8O

    This comment was hilarious though.
Probably looking for some semblance of a party platform.

Couldn't find any so they gave up and left.

Apparently the burglars took nothing but left a note saying Justin should lock his doors or another break in could happen again. WHO BREAKS INTO A HOUSE TO GIVE HOME SECURITY ADVICE?!?

So let's see if I have this right.
Here's the son of a former Prime Minister of Canada, who grew up on Parliament Hill, surrounded by 24 hour RCMP protection. "

When Chretien lived at 24 Sussex his wife had to phone the RCMP when they had an intruder.
Trudeau is a political party leader, nothing more. You are thinking of Harper, who after taking power had his own RCMP squadron assembled at a cost of more than $2 million PER MONTH or ten years worth of Paul Martin security.
So the answer to your question is "No; you do not have it right" See for yourself:

A threatening note left behind while the sleeping family, and possessions were left alone. Must be real serious.

If Canada post was not cutting back home delivery, it might not have come to this.

Pretty stupid behaviour if you ask me.

Who doesn't lock their doors in a big city, even in Canada? 8O

If you don't want to lock the door, at least have an alarm system and set the perimeter alarm before you go to bed.

Yep. Got Harper's fingerprints all over it. Bet they had a Lucite box too in which to store JT's head in, just like the last Riddick movie. Riddick films? That's where Harper gets all his ideas from. He's nothing but a goddamn Necromonger! 8O

    - average CBC comment section posting

Probably got too high celebrating Marc Emery's release and just plain forgot to check the doors.

Whatever the excuse, it's bordering on neglect if you ask me.

I always check my doors and windows before I head to bed. Sometimes, if I'm feeling really paranoid, I arm the perimeter alarm too.

So, just a general question - it's Ok to break into someone's house when they aren't there and leave threatening notes, if it's Justin Trudeau's family?
