It drives me up the wall. I'm not sure which is worse - the act itself, or the bullshit excuses people use to try to justify their actions.

"I don't know" is the one guys throw out most often I find when asked why, and a good chunk of the time I believe it's true. The "other woman" usually doesn't even compare to the spouse and you have to wonder "what the hell was he thinking, he screwed around on his wife for her?!?".
Nah I saw it, but it's such a common excuse I felt it necessary to repeat it.

So did several friends of mine. They never seem to know why. I knew how to put an end to it though.
I could say that the only reason people screw around, is that they are not happy or fulfilled in their present relationship. I'm not coming to their defence, but my advice is to get the hell out of their present relationship BEFORE screwing around.

Quite a few years ago, a married woman I work with came on to me... I was single at the time. I just told her that I would never sleep around with a married woman. She finally broke it off with her husband a few months later. Still refused to go out with her though... never trust a cheater.
