A Hamilton-area mans dashcam may have saved him a pricey car insurance payout and maybe even from falling victim to an insurance scam, an industry expert says.
Except that if you happen to video some cops doing something wrong and they notice your dashcam rolling you can expect to get arrested, beaten, or even shot for 'interfering in an investigation' or some other such nonsense.
Even cops get hassled by cops for using dashcams to record other cops acting like gangbangers.
It's not uncommon down here for cops to wear baseball caps. I've also seen some Calgary and VicPD wearing them on occasion.
Sorry, but it looks cheesy.
The only cops I've ever seen wearing baseball caps are those on bicycles (if they take off their helmet) - everyone in a car has a typical peaked hat (or whatever they are called).
I totally agree. The baseball cap thing came along with the SWAT teams and then the street cops have taken it up as part of their militarized appearance along with black nylon utility belts and etc.
It looks cheesy and thuggish and is wholly unprofessional to me.
Sounds like a wise investment...
