Former mayor Ray Nagin, the businessman-turned-politician who became the worldwide face of the city after Hurricane Katrina, was sentenced to 10 years in prison Wednesday.

    Obama might want to see if Nagin wouldn't mind having a roomie given the way the IRS scandal keeps coming closer and closer to documenting his involvement.

    Sheila Jackson Lee and Hank Johnson are Republicans? Really? I didn't know that. Maybe you should check again too. :wink:

    I did know, Tim Scott, the first black member of the senate since the reconstruction era is a Republican.

    I'm crossing my fingers for Mia Love in Utah this November. She's going to be a good one.

    It's not surprising. He's not the last legislator in Louisiana to be busted on corruption and he likely won't the the last.

    I remember reading after Katrina, that in 2005 there were at least 50 former New Orleans PD officers in jail on some charge or another.
