The study isn't available to scrutinize. Antarctica has been setting records in general for sea ice maximums though, so you know there is another side to this one. You just can't see it until the study actually appears.
But for now you've got some possibly politically charged representative from NASA claiming they've made observations, and based on what they think they saw the world is flooding in a couple hundred years. Quick get the children to higher ground.

There's different opinions on how much of the West and the northern plateau has been affected by how much melt when.
And there's no conspiracy. I just think the science should be published and examined before it's presented as fact.

Rather embarrassing for WUWT, since the Antarctic ice gain has been a key feature of there's of late. Just yesterday in fact they were gloating about record ice gains in the Antarctic, oh the silly warmists. And then this. Not surprising that they decided to ignore the study and shoot the messenger instead.
Watts is reporting on how even NYT's Andrew Reyvkin is having problems with the Guardians re-telling of the story.

A lot can happen in several centuries, why even in the last couple of years Antarctic has seen record levels on Antarctic sea ice.

Exactly--shooting the messenger. The story is about two papers about to be published indicating that the break up of the west antarctic ice sheet is likely irrevocable. That is the story. At WUWT, they decided instead in to go after the journalist reporting the story.
