I really don't understand why circumcision is still allowed to be a thing

For man it is good, but not for a woman.

    Debatable.

My opinion is highly unpopular, I know, but I really see little benefit in genital mutilation. It's sick.
If you didn't have possibility to wash in 5 summer days, with sunny days 42 C every day, doing a hard job at this time, I'm sure you would do it with yourself using piece of glass. :D

Bullshit. I've spent 10 days traversing glaciers and 7 days on a desert trip with 100+ temps. Neither one had an opportunity to wash. People seemed to want to stand downwind of us when we returned to civilization, but smell won't kill you. Since so many people are uncircumcised, and Europeans at one time would have just about all been uncircumcised, and didn't wash much (Ukrainians may still not ) that would have been a lot of men hacking away at themselves with pieces of glass.) Far more serious would have been the risk of infection when primitive tribes hacked away at their sons' gentials.

Muslim women aren't supposed to enjoy sex, so this is the best way to prevent
    sexual pleasure.

The UK gets 3 - 4000 new cases every year, procedure done inside the UK now.

This is not girls at risk, this is girls being cut.

No one is prosecuted, cause that would be racist.

Muslims, huh? They all do it? No non-Muslims do it?

actually we used to do it:
Clitoridectomy was once used to curb female masturbation. Gynaecologists in 19th-century Europe and the United States removed the clitoris to treat insanity and masturbation. The first reported clitoridectomy in the West was carried out in 1822 by a surgeon in Berlin, a Dr. Graefe, on a teenage girl regarded as an "imbecile" who was masturbating frequently.

The origins of the practice are obscure. There is a reference to it on the sarcophagus of Sit-hedjhotep, in the Egyptian Museum, dating back to Egypt's Middle Kingdom, c. 19911786 BCE (see right). The Greek geographer Strabo (c. 64 BCE c. 23 CE) wrote of it after visiting Egypt around 25 BCE: "This is one of the customs most zealously pursued by them [the Egyptians]: to raise every child that is born and to circumcise the males and excise the females."[

Nope, it's most common among African Muslims, but Egyptian Copts and Ethiopian Jews also do it, as well as animist tribes. It was practiced in the region long before Islam was born, and just continued among those people once they converted. Muslim scholars have condemned the practice.

In other words, wherever people believe that their god tells them to slice off women's vulvae.

What is just and good is not he primary concern with the folks promulgating FGM. It is about control. They want their women pure and to them the best way to do that is to subject to this so that they cannot have sexual pleasure. It is a barbaric practice.

As Andy pointed out this activity predates Islam.
