Arsehole of the week award goes to Quebec Health.

I don't think any province covers bills for transportation, unless you have your own private insurance which pays for it you're going to be stuck with the bill. I was rear ended and sent to the hospital in the ambulance, BC kept sending me bills for $130+, which was actually ICBC's problem as the Ahole who hit me was 100% at fault......Guess how long it took for ICBC to pay the bill.....which came religiously every month.....

In Ontario we get billed for ground ambulance, I usually don't sweat it because it isn't an obscene/unreasonable amount.

Expecting a woman to foot a 12k air ambulance bill because a polar bear ripped her face open in Churchill is in a whole other ballpark. That should be paid for.

Yeah, it would be nice......but it's still user pays, that's why it's good to have good private insurance that covers shit like this....
