Your beebs wasn't accused for gun smuggling, the person in question and company he works for gardaworld ( which in slang, literally translates to drugworld )has far from a impeccable record.

Just because he's ex Canadian military should he be treated differently ? Or Afghanistan is a "shithole" so it doesn't count ?

I dont think he should be treated differently, also I have a feeling who ever hired him didnt bribe the right people.

Those are my thoughts exactly. Garda doesn't have the best reputation, but not giving someone a bribe should not land people in jail. Countries where that is a possibility are a shithole and should be avoided.

I don't think the company name is a drug reference at all. In fact it implies they guard people only. I bet the politician who hired him isn't of the inner circle of those running the country or region.

Yeah but that's generally how it works though.

If they want their country to be hobbled by corruption, that's fine. No need for us to stick around then.

MOST of the world works that way. Some places are worse or more overt than others. Corruption is an accepted part of doing business. Sometimes it works in your favour, and other times it works against you.

Going by the example of the Knox lynching, A-stan's not much worse than Italy. The only major difference is that their prisons are ickier.
