From the blog Healthy Living: An El Al pilot made an extraordinary gesture toward a little girl who had been removed from the flight from Israel to New York City after she lost her passport.

As some one familiar with airport procedures I can tell you that what the El Al crew did was VERY extraordinary. How they got the ground folks to go along with it is extaordinary, but then agin giving what was going on with the lives of the passengers perhaps not so after all.

Yes, to turn around an aircraft from the taxiway and go back to the gate is a collosal pain the ass, but to Inbar Chomsky it meant the world, Inbar has enough pain her life.
