The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) says banks have done their bit to help economic recovery and governments must do more.

    Where else could they go? But in Canada, our dollar is maxed out and we're an export economy. If interest rates go up, the dollar will appreciate and our exporters will be hamstrung. So I seriously doubt that Canadian interest rates are going anywhere for the foreseeable future.
