Or they would be condeming him for being drunk on the job. those who push for legalistation of pot have been saying that smoking pot harms no one. That it mellows people out to the point where they can do no harm. Here is a case pointing to the exact opposite. It is well known that being drunk impares you in the performance of a job. Thus it is a fireable offense and in many cases you can be arrested for being drunk while on the job. Yet those who are pushing for pot to be made legal want it to be as legal as smoking a cig on the job.

From what I've heard, a lot of people support legalization because they put it pretty much on the same level as alcohol, nobody says that it does no harm. My position is that if you want to get high, get high... if you want to get drunk, get drunk. But, there's always a but, don't hurt anybody else while you're doing it.

If you want to argue against pot and/or legalization, no problem, but don't be a hypocrite. I'm sure that alcohol will continue to hurt way more people than pot... even if it was legalized.

In this particular case, I'll repeat what I said... the contractor should get most of the blame. He decided to save a few bucks and hired this guy.

And I agree that alcohol does cause harm weather thats more harm then pot can be debated to a point. I'm sorry I sounded a bit hypocritical was not my intention to make alcohol out to be some harmlessly used product.

People won't say a word about the construction guy going for lunch and having a couple of beers, but they'll scream bloody murder if he tokes up.

...for the record, I have no idea what kind of buzz smoking a joint will give you. It's been a long, long time for me and the product has changed a lot since then.
