Vimy Ridge tour gives hope to Canadian veterans suffering from PTSD

A group of Canadian soldiers, struggling with post traumatic stress, paid a moving visit to Vimy Ridge on Sunday, in the hope the carnage from one of the country's most horrific battles will help bring comfort.

The names of all 3,598 killed in the April 9, 1917 assault are etched into the stone surface of the soaring monument, but Richardson says he thinks about the ones who went home and picked up the pieces of their shattered lives.

Wow, what a fuck up.

The names on the memorial are men with no known grave from all battles; total 11,170.

Many men who died around Vimy have a marked grave.

Our other 7,000 missing are listed on the Menin Gate in Ypres.

Well, I sent a slightly nasty email to the Canadian Press, lo and behold,

a few hours later the story has been completely redone.

It's still wrong, but it's readable now.

I'm guessing Murray likes his Wiki.

I gave up trying to correct the Canadian Press years ago with regards to anything military.
