One of the world's most visited museums, the Louvre in Paris, has been closed for the day as staff protest over intimidation by pickpockets.

I guess as long as the thieves were only targeting tourists, that was ok.

Yup, Europe is a paradise. :)

    Groups 'who' but museums 'which'?

    Anyway. Child pickpockets = Roma.

Welcome to the lawlessness of Eastern Europe.

Gypsies. The media in Europe is hesitant to say who's doing it but traditionally almost all the petty crime done at landmarks and touristy areas in places like Paris and Rome are committed by Roma. It's politically correct not to say it but everyone there knows the truth of the situation. My parents did a bus tour of Europe about thirty years ago. The bus driver and security guards literally had to violently kick and punch the Roma away from the bus as the passengers arrived and then left the Louvre because if the theives got on the vehicle there wouldn't have been a wallet, purse, or camera left unstolen. If it was true back then then it's probably the same, or even worse, today with all that open-borders bullshit the Euros have swallowed. Maybe some Muslims or Africans are now involved in it too these days but the worst of this type of crime will still be committed by the Roma and most likely always will be.
