The Senate. The most despicable, parasitical organization in Canada, populated by theives, ne'erdowells and other sundry criminal types. Time to get rid of this feudal throwback.

What's his full username? - Old Guy?

Is the Senate really the most dispicable organization in Canada? Will getting rid of it really make much difference, or reduce political patronage significantly? (Ie the money and patronized will just go somwhere else).

He's only 64, but you're right, looks older than that.

I thought Canadians were more mature and sophisticated than others (i.e. the Yanks 8) ) to make such irrelevant things like this part of the news cycle.

Oh--sorry, Freakin Old Guy.. Missed the context completely there.

I think it's just an accumulation of skullduggery, malfeasance and general nastiness over a short period of time that has flipped the switch. I don't have much patience for the Senate at the best of times. I don't buy they they offer any kind of "sober second thought." I don't buy that the cost to keep them is relatively minor. And I don't think it serves our political system to have such a ready-made pig pen in which recent electroral victors can park life-long political hacks.

How's that for a FOG post?

Not good. First brush your teeth but don't rinse. Then you need to add a lot more hypervbolic invective, like your first post, to do a FOG. Then, when challenged, you need to actually admit that your views are a lot more moderate and reasonable than first expressed. Well, maybe you did that in your second post.

I think I'm with Thanos on this one. He probably toked up just before posting, so didn't go off into the rantosphere like when he gets on the booze.

You couldn't be more wrong, one-eye. All I did today to cheer myself up was to go out on the patio, fire off my handgun into the air a dozen times, and then go back in to rub one out to all the pretty pictures Raydan keeps posting.

Since "music hath charms to soothe a savage breast", I put another one up, just for you...
