The guy jumped bail, lived under a fake name in Canada and this jackass thinks we should let himback in. WTF is it with this guy? Why does anyone pay any attetion to a guy who refinanced his house 11 times?

Mr. Pannell jumped bail, lived in hiding, fled to Montreal in 1974, adopted the alias Gary Freeman, and met and married Ms. Coelho. The couple had four children and lived in Mississauga, Ont. Both worked for the Toronto library system. Mr. Freeman was arrested in 2004. He spent four years in a Canadian prison fighting extradition, and was deported in February, 2008. He pleaded guilty in Chicago to aggravated assault, received a 30-day sentence, two years probation
Seems like an odd outcome for a "cop shooter" doesn't it? 30 Days?
Minister Jason Kenney referred to the former fugitive as a cop killer. He corrected himself last year. I should have said cop shooter,
Where's the threat to Canada if he gets to live with his family? I know it scores imaginary points for the dumb-on-crimers, but other than that.. Why?

Is refinancing a crime? If not, why bring it up? Why should I pay attention to a poster who can't spell?
If you were him, wouldn't you just consider yourself lucky to have gotten what seems to be a great life, for 30 years... a life you should never have lived and didn't deserve.
He should have faced justice and not fled... that's what he's paying for now.
And he's playing the race card... just for that, I wouldn't let him back.

There is a sucker born every minute. I think it depends on what kind of porn rocks your boat. Maybe he has some weird fetish we don't want to know about.

The idea that OTI may have to sit in front of a webcam in a Hello Kitty costume is a touch creepy.

Maybe the four years he was in Canadian prison was taken into account. Maybe the fact that it happened so long ago and he has not re-offended was a factor.
It doesn't seem like Mr. Freeman would be any danger to Canadian society, and he has deep roots here now, so maybe a case can be made for leniency, I don't know.
It certainly appears that it could establish some sort of precedent.

Irrespective of that and whether or not I agree, he is at least standing on principle even if it costs him a bit. I'll give him points for that.

Another partisan hack with no sense of humour. Gunnair is right, jj2424 and OTI would make a great couple.
