True. It's the ol' back and forth isn't it?

I'm not sure what it is she's supposed to have done wrong. Sounds like somebody was proposing doing something both parties have always done - manipulating the multi-cultural card. Is it getting caught saying it out loud that's the problem this time?

Yes. And using, or planning to use, government funds to promote the party. Again, they all do it an extent. The diff is how blatant this is. And it's backfired and pissed off the very people they were trying to court. Just a govt in dissarray. They're way past their expiry date - time to go. Doesn't matter left right or center, govts get stale and need to spend time in opposition.

Sometimes in BC it seems like we just trade scandals between the center-left Libs, and the farther Left NDP. What would be fun is if we just got sick of both, cut out the middle-men, and went straight right to left - Green versus Cons. Now that would be worth the price of admission.

Being Conservative I'm grateful for this current stir. It may give us another incremental tick upwards in credibility.

Several months after the election of Christy Clark as leader of the Liberal Party, and her subsequent swearing in as premier, the Conservatives once again saw a significant increase in support at the expense of the Liberals.

The party held a leadership convention on May 28, 2011, and former Conservative Party of Canada Member of Parliament John Cummins was acclaimed leader. After dropping into single digits after Campbell's resignation the Conservatives have consistently polled above 10 per cent in the last half of 2011, reaching as high as 23 per cent.

The BC Conservatives have been gaining supporters, including from Finance Minister Kevin Falcon. According to Falcon, "a number of my supporters that may have done that and Im not entirely surprised."

On March 26, 2012, Abbotsford South MLA John van Dongen announced that he was leaving the BC Liberals to join the BC Conservatives, providing the party with its first representative in the legislature since 1986. Recently, John van Dongen switched to independent status after the re-election of John Cummins as leader of the BC Conservative Party.

Oh, I hope a conservative party takes root in BC - it would ensure many NDP victories. The BC "Liberals" are an anybody but the NDP party, including some very hard right people. If we had a 3 party system, the NDP would do very well. Or who knows, maybe we actually have a centrist party in government, on that isn't beholden to the govt unions or big business. That would be refreshing. I think it depends how well the NDP does this time around, as far as governing goes. If they can stay moderate, it will kill the anybody but the NDP drive, and we could actually get three proper parties the way other provinces do. That would be different.

I wish there was a "jealous" smilie. I would kill for a 2 party system here.

The only reason I hope there's an NDP majority is so they'll take Christy to court over BC Rail and we can find out the truth.

But hey, come to think of it, the Liberals were already working on the ethnic vote with our money when the payed the legal fees for Basi and Virk both criminal ethnic Liberal voters convicted in the BC Rail travesty..

So this new revelation is just the same policy on a larger scale. :D

You want credibility, start by abandoning the ridiculous views that have cost conservatives their credibility, like climate change denial.

Well, the cabinet rats are staying with Clark. Guess they plan to go down with the captain.
