Surprise crazy people be so crazy they drive their kids away. :o

Seriously though I'm sure this is very hard on the girls. Can you imagine having to leave everything you have known because the people who loved you had proven to be totally evil.

They must be having one hell of a hard time right now. Makes me wish I could provide some kind of support.

I totally agree with you. I can only have respect for them.

Funny thing is, if you were to unknowingly meet the Phelps and talked to them about non-Religious stuff, they would seem perfectly normal and as intelligent as anyone else.

I don't think they're "Crazy" at all. They are just 100% convinced in what they Believe.

Actually I've met Nate Phelps and if you ever get the opportunity to hear him speak you should take it up. The man grew up in the WBC and he'll tell you exactly how nuts they are.

And don't you think that's the definition of crazy?

In any case, the younger sister, sure. Welcome to the civilized world.
But Megan? She's been doing that crap for longer and more intense than could be explained by childhood dependency. She needs to be made to pay.

Pay for what? Being obnoxious and distasteful? If that was a crime then the entire internet would be in jail.

Not so sure about that... I would compare what she's been through to those with Stockholm syndrome.

It's only crazy as far as the Beliefs are concerned. Outside of that, they are quite normal people. Don't get me wrong, I am not defending them in anyway, just pointing out how insidious their belief is. It turns normal people into dangerous people.

Reasonable. Still feels odd, I hope she gets a few good interviews in, soon.
