The outcome sounds a little extreme given the trival amounts of money invovled. But rules are rules.

    I love it!

I love watching Toronto implode. Now they'll bring in some financial moron to run the City into the ground and then cry that the City is broke and about all the tax increases.

I'm interested to see the Star's front page. It'll probably look like a war was just won. :)

Been there, done that...Ford was the financial moron who was brought in, cried the city was broke and about all the taxes, then he cut the taxes....you know, cuz when your organization has a revenue problem, the first thing you do is start deliberately cutting your revenue even more, right?

The same financial moron that cut taxes AND balanced the books AND spent less than the City did in the previous year?

Ford followed through on promises that got him elected. Weird idea, eh? Torontonians were being gouged on the vehicle registration and he vowed to get rid of it.

The same financial genius that wanted to quash a $1B public transit project in favour of a $20B one?

Ford is just a total plonker. A wasted opportunity. He's fucked it up in so many ways.

Yeah, but that $20B one would still let people drive to work, instead of making them take the transit with the unwashed!

    Oh, the humanity!

A politician with vision for tomorrow not just today?

    Odd.

Explains a fair bit why transit in Toronto is such a joke.

The only vision problem is with anyone who defends a complete buffoon like Rob Ford.

I defend people and politicians that deliver results. Rob Ford did just that.

Sure, he's about as articulate as a 8 year old and he's a fat sweaty slob but that doesn't negate the results he delivered for the City.

BULLSHIT! He privatized some garbage collection and cut the vehicle tax. If that qualifies as "results" then your definition of "results" is pretty liberal.

Come on Lemmy, I know Ford doesn't measure up to your high-society standards but let's not ignore reality.

Let`s take a look, shall we?

    -Balanced the books. Permanent savings.
    -Reduced taxes.
-Labour Deals with Unions (No Strikes)
    -Garbage Privatization.(West of Yonge)
-2012 Budget less than 2011 budget
    -TTC Essential Service Designation.
    -Froze Councillor Salaries.
    -Reduced Office Budgets.
-Put salaries and expenses online for people to see.

Amazing that such an ineffective mayor was able to do things that no mayor before him could do.
