A proposal to ship oil from Alberta to Eastern Canadian markets is drawing support from a growing number of premiers who say it could help stimulate the economy while serving as the foundation for a national energy strategy
This has been up and coming for a long time. Simple flow reversal to get it done. Add this to the coming up XL pipeline approval and we can let those "BC bastards freeze in the dark" as we can shelve the gateway for some time to come.
It will be interesting though when the east realizes they won't be getting the discounted Canadian Blend Oil but rather the new price which will be closer to WTI. I'm sure they will be screaming for a Canadian discount just like Trudeau's NEP.

What, you mean Alberta now wants an NEP ?
Do it, let those BC bastards freeze in the dark !
This should have been done 40 years ago..

You guys don't quite get it, do you? Not that that's anything new.
The pipeline through BC was for the refining market in Asia, so BC wasn't using any of that stuff anyway. And, we're not exactly short of energy in BC. We sell quite a bit to Alberta, actually. Do try to keep up. Unless of course you just like wallowing in ignorance. Then, by all means, wallow away!
Looks like Zipper missed the smiley face. Of course the oil was meant for the Asian markets but if we can open the other two first in lessens the need for the Gateway.
You mean I've been filling my car with BC black gold? who knew...lol

Not the way Trudeau wanted to do it. It cost market price to pull from the ground, but he wanted to fix the price to less than market.
How long do you think that would have lasted?

Gladly. Once the plug is pulled we won't have to listen to the whining of the Quebec of the west.
