This would be funny if it wasn't so sad and pathetic.

Emails and twitter, hmm who is monitoring their email at 4am ?

Not too mention a big one will probably knock out things like electricity....
    and internet servers...

Not to mention having to rely completely on the Americans... again.

    No training for people.
    No supplies being arranged.
    No sirens ?

Is it really neccessary for the BC authorities to show once again how useless they really are ?

    What a joke.

Next they'll be trying the automated telephone call out feature they used here. It worked okay for the boil water advisory but in the event of tsumani I doubt it'd have time to call everyone in a city and explain to them that they'll be needing waterwings and a snorkel within the next 2 minutes. :P

Maybe they could do one province wide:

"Dear BC resident. This is Christie speaking and I'd like to take a minute of your time to remind you to vote Liberal, the party that put the term Shaft in the BC mining industry. At this time I'd like to also remind you that unless you have a surfboard and wetsuit in your closet it may be prudent for you to evacuate to higher ground especially since we're expecting an opposition created tsumani of epic proportions to hit the BC coast in about....................... " 8O

Good. Two more shakers in Haida Gwaii last night.

Frankly, I downloaded an app for my Iphone that notifies my of earthquakes and hit's pretty damned slick. Thanks, Christy, but I'll look after myself.
