One of the richest men in the United States -- David Siegel, the CEO of Westgate Resorts -- has threatened to shut down his company and lay off some 8,000 employees if Barack Obama is re-elected president.
"Of course, as your employer, I can't tell you whom to vote for, and I certainly wouldn't interfere with your right to vote for whomever you choose. In fact, I encourage you to vote for whomever you think will serve your interests the best. "However, let me share a few facts that might help you decide what is in your best interest."
Blackmail your employees to vote GOP or potentially be laid off. There's good ol' fashioned democracy.
I do want to see Romney win. Obama doesn't seem to have the jam. Romney will probably try to govern from the middle. Let's see if his Teabag compatriots will let him. If not, it will be fun to watch the show, in the sense of the Chinese curse. (may you live in interesting times). But really, US voters need to have their bullshit illusions shoved down their throat once and for all. Thing is, they'll take everybody else down with them. But then maybe we all need to have our illusions shoved down our throats. Open wide.
Siegel's company started tanking before Barack Obama was ever elected.
The Sentinel carried its first headline "Westgate Resorts to lay off hundreds" in September 2008.
Back then, Siegel was quick to assign blame not to himself, of course, but to Wall Street and Washington, where George W. Bush was presiding.
Those cuts were followed by stories about Westgate closing a call center in Missouri and Houston. Then 600 more jobs. Soon, an additional 1,000.
By December, Westgate had announced 4,000 layoffs and the company was such a mess Siegel was urging employees to ignore rumors of bankruptcy.
Also... Westgate Founder David Siegel was found guilty of sexual harassment in a lawsuit brought by former Westgate employee Georgette Meyers. Meyers worked for Westgate for 14 years. She claimed that Siegel offered a million dollars to have sex with her. Meyers claimed that she had to repeatedly fight off unwanted advances from Siegel, and a Florida court awarded Meyers $5.4 Million in damages in February 2008.
Like Gunnair said... What a reprehensible fucking piece of shit.
What a whiny little bitch. For some reason he sounds just like all the Democrats who were whining and threatening to leave the country if George Bush got reelected.
So let him do it, then he can go and live with the Dixie Chicks, since they both have the same amount of political relevance.
No! No! He de boss-man, he's a demi-God. We all should be thankful he lets us work for him (lick, lick, tongue. tongue). Cut his taxes and we'll tighten our belts even more to keep working!

Exactly. And by saying "Of course, as your employer, I can't tell you whom to vote for..." doesn't change the fact that he then goes on to do exactly that. This guy needs to be investigated for voter interfence.

Don't want to interfere in his freedom of speech though.
So that's these two, and Steve Wynn to boot.
