Poor kid, it seems both her parents could be considered for top spot on the losers list....

In particular, Verst is angry about an episode that aired in 2011 that showed Maddy?s mother, Lindsay Jackson, dressing up her daughter as Dolly Parton in a padded bra and padded underwear for a pageant event.
The judge will now decide whether Bill Verst, a convicted felon currently on probation for a DUI and child endangerment, should have sole custody of the girl.

As far as I'm concerned any parent who exploits their kids in contests like this and beauty pagents should have their heads seriously examined......WTF are they doing, trying to make up for their lives as losers by putting their children through bullshit contests like these!.......idiots!!

Yeah, this show has drawn some fire before. I'm not sure that there have been any other times it's led to a parent actually facing losing custody of their child because of it though.

Sick and sad to teach these little girls that if you aren't the "prettiest" you are a loser...

The network execs at TLC should all be in jail too for even putting this trailer-trash stuff on the teevee in the first place. It makes Jersey Shore and Teen Mom look like serious social commentary in comparison.

While the judge is at it, deciding whether letting your child participate in something completely legal should be reason to take away custody from a mom, to give it to a guy convicted of DUI and child endangerment, why not just make those pageants illegal?

I HATE those pageants, and think they are the most stupid things ever, but they are legal and apparently not child endangerment. Or abuse. Or whatever.

Word. And if these parents are unfit parents, what about the 'Here comes Honey Boo Boo' parents? They feed that little porker tons of sugar every day so that she acts like that, and they're rewarded with a TV show. And they don't even teach that kid english

The whole programming staff at TLC (and A&E, and History) should be dragged into the street and shot.

To be honest, Here Come's Honey Boo Boo makes Toddlers and Tiara's look like Shakespeare.

I never thought I'd say this, but they finally found a family so fucked up and dysfunctional that it makes the other inbred, southern redneck, hill folk look like Rhodes Scholars by comparison.

But I can see the appeal it has for the TV viewing audience since it's like a watching a trainwreck happen right before your very eyes. It's a sad commentary on what passes for entertainment now when you stop and think about it though.

So, you watch the masterpiece theatre of reality TV. :D

This family has absolutely no redeeming values what so ever and pollute the airwaves with their over the top hillbilly crap, which is more like staged mayhem emmenating from the back of the short bus than a real life families daily routine.

Jerry Springer wasn't hosting a controversial "Talk Show". He was running a Focus Group for future TV Show ideas.

That show is disgusting poor kids. I'm pretty sure if it was only men dragging their daughters to these events. It wouldn't be tolerated for one second. So why do fucked up mom's get a pass ? This also proves to me when it comes to self-image issues men mostly have nothing to do with it, it's all women doing it to other women.

I refuse to watch reality TV. Which means ever since the first episode of survivor my TV time has tanked. I remember thinking to my self "what kind of dumbass is entertained by this crap".

    Was I ever surprised. 8O
